Guest seawolf17 Guests Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Can we trick the Yanks into taking Ishii and Glavine too?
Guest Elster88 Guests Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 On the radio this morning they acted like Kenny had smacked around another camerman, saying "He did it again" over and over to try to sucker people into staying through the commercials. Talking trash to a cameraman is no big deal, IMHO.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Yabbut, threatening one while you're heading to jail for making good on your threat to others is news.

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 I wondered how he was gonna do there -- coming with a"I-in-Team" rep and replacing a popular player. One of the great pleasures of being a Met fan in the late 90s/early 00s was the rare but exciting Jay Payton Hot Streak.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 The world famous Pedro Astacio starting today for the Pads. I didnt even notice Texas had waived him.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 Mike Bordick has been inducted into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame.Bordick is a rarity not only for being a major leaguer (and a very successful one at that) who came from the US northern border, but also one who was originally signed after attending a tryout camp.
Guest G-Fafif Guests Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Roberto Petagine walked in the middle of a big Red Sox rally and scored on Varitek's grand slam.Roberto Petagine's on the Red Sox?
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 They signed him in the offseason as 1B backup and shipped him down to Pawtucket, where he's been hitting the snot out of the ball. He's got something like a 1.100 OPS down there. They decided to call up Johnny O instead of him because he had some sort of foot problem when they had an opening and he wasn't able to man first. Then Johnny got hot and blocked Petagine until getting put on the DL today with a hammy problem. His first shot at the bigs in I don't know how long and he gets to bat cleanup for the defending world champions. Not bad.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Met fans who idolize the GMs of Oakland and Boston must've really been conflicted when that trade went down. The Mets really helped Oakland turn it around this year. But didn't they?
