Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 24 Posted March 24 A year ago, I was your Opening Day starting thirdbaseman and cleanup hitter. I was coming off a breakthrough season, and the future was filled with green horizons. But now ... now I'm none of that. It appears I am to open this new season as (checks notes) DH against lefties. I get that I had a falloff, but I didn't kill a guy or anything. But the Mets are ambitious, and their patience must have limits, so here am I, looking to prove myself all over again. And I look at all the guys not here at all, and realize it could be worse. But the story must be writ, over and over again. You have only read the first sentence of the chapter, but it is for you book-clubbers to tell how it will conclude.
