MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Christopher Antonio Suero Is a homie - a Bronx born 21 year old with a world of potential. His calling card is his ability to catch as well as play first and the outfield. He played at Brooklyn and Binghamton this year, demonstrating both power (16HR) and speed (35 sb). If he can improve his contact rate a bit, we'll be seeing him up here soon.https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=suero-000chrWelcome to my house, Kid.Make me proud.Later
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2025 Author Posted November 6, 2025 My kid has been named to the Arizona League All Star game representing the Scottsdale Scorpions. He's batting .264/.333/.556 with five homers in 60 plate appearances and has swiped seven bases without getting caught. He served as the Scorpions’ designated hitter on Wednesday, though he’s also caught six games and played four games in left field and two at first base. Suero was ranked as the Mets’ No. 14 prospect in MMO’s Top-50 Prospect list in August. My guess is he could double on tenor sax or drums if asked.Later
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted November 17, 2025 Author Posted November 17, 2025 His final numbers in the recently completed AFL season:15 G, 60 AB, .283/.353/.567, 2 2B, 0 3B, 5 HR, 7 BB, 18 K, 8/8 SB, 0 HBP, .316 BABIPLater
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 Currently ranked #17.The write- up makes it sound his destiny could be major league coach. In addition to his skill on the field, Suero has received nothing but superlatives from his managers regarding his maturity and leadership skills; being bilingual and familiar with both Latin American/Caribbean and American culture, he regularly serves as a translator and cultural ambassador for teammates on both sides of the language and cultural divide. https://www.amazinavenue.com/mets-minor-league/89105/top-25-mets-prospects-for-2026-c-of-chris-suero-17Later
