I have a Facebook friend in Milwaukee and she says there was 10 inches of rain in a short time and her basement is completely flooded. I'm not sure they will be able to repair all the damage to the roof quickly.

Jansen had a perfectly good chance to tag Alonso on that RBI hit, but he ignored the scoring runner and went right after trailing runner.

Good running by Mauricio as I thought the Brews had a shot at Pete at the plate, a small one probably but certainly a possibility.

But Mauricio trying for 2nd caused the catcher to opt for the sure out even though it tacked on an extra run.

I tend to think of Joey Ortíz as the Rey Ordóñez-iest player in the league, but that was a hell of an at-bat.

The only silver lining is that Baty didn't flub the 3rd out bouncer and making the inning even worse.



Meanwhile, 84 pitches (5-2/3's worth) for Manaea just to get through 4 innings so it's five innings at best from him and probably not even that.

It also extends the Mets' streak of solo HRs to like 80 or 85 ... I'll have to check further for the exact number.
