Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2025 Posted July 17, 2025 For starters, the games for our re-start at home vs the Reds are at 7:10, 4:10, and 1:40Other series of interest:- the first game to kick off the unofficial second half sees two hot teams meeting as the BoSox travel to Wrigley for an afternoon game on Friday. The only shocking part about this series is that it is NOT the SNB game (DET @ TEX). It will be the FOX Saturday night game however.- Phils host LAA (47-49) who have been better lately but are still the Angels so we can't really count on much help- the Yanx open in Atlanta. That the Braves are so far behind allows me to root for them over the next few days guilt-free- and some good matchups late at night for us east-coasters: MIL @ LAD; StL @ ARZ; HOU @ SEA

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2025 Author Posted July 19, 2025 Phils win.Braves & Yanx tied 8-8 after 8
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2025 Author Posted July 19, 2025 Grand Slam, Trent Grisham: 12 - 8 YanxBraves led 5-0 at one point.Yanx have scored 10 of the last 11 runs
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2025 Author Posted July 20, 2025 Milwaukee has caught the Cubs to form a dead heat at the top of the NL Central, both at 59-40.Brews ran their winning streak to ten with a win today (they also own an 8-game streak from late May so their Ws are coming in bunches) while the Cubs lost to the BoSox.Perhaps even more impressive is that six of the ten wins came against the Dodgers [also MIA (1), and WAS (3)] giving them a season sweep of LAD (6-0)The Cubbies led by as many as 6.5 G in mid-June- Philly lost today to go 1-2 vs LAA, so it's back to just 1/2 G back for the blue and orange- Yanx took two of three from the Braves but Toronto swept a series from SFG so the Jays increased their lead this weekend to 3.0 G (5.0 over BOS)Oh, and the SNB game is featuring road gray unis for the visiting Tigers vs powder blue homes for the Rangers. That's just wrong.
