Sounds like a band from the '70s. Or the '90s. Or a '90s sitcom.

Either way, the Mets brought aboard Niko Goodrum, who has 7 years and 415 games of big league experience under his belt, and Jon Singleton, who has 4 years and 269 games of big league experience...dating back to 2014...under his belt.

Goodrum had some decent power-speed years with Detroit back in the late 2010s. Singleton was a top prospect who the Astros invested a long-term contract in, only to get fed up with him and eventually release him from said contract. He sat out a few years, then went to Mexico and resuscitated his career. The Brewers signed him, then released him, then the Astros signed him again. He still kind of stunk, but for whatever reasons teams—this time the Mets—keep signing him.

The Mets also signed some no-name pitcher named Jose Marte who isn't interesting.
