Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Lindor finished second in MVP voting with 263 points, no first place votes. Not a lot of luck in Cy Young voting for Mets pitchers, but Sean Manaea earned a point.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Oh, right, Stanton won his last year in Miami.Big power numbers, but my vote was for Joey Votto that year.
Bob Alpacadaca Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 David Wright got hosed the year he lost to Jimmy Rollins. Strawberry's 1988 loss to Kirk Gibson was questionable, too.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 The only Met that ever got "hosed" in MVP voting was Dwight Gooden, who should've won the 1985 award in a unanimous landslide sweep. You could make a very plausible case that Albert Pujols was better than both Wright and Rollins in 2007.
