Jose Quintana will take the hill and attempt to do a better job of keeping the ball in the park today

Journeyman Martin Perez goes for SD

A comfortable late afternoon start for all to enjoy

I'm watching fast forward and man did Lindor crush that grand slam pitch, yeesh

He has come a long way as a Met considering his rough 2021 Mets debut season

The Mets are getting key contributions from so many now mixed with what Lindor does on a daily basis and it is sweet to watch and enjoy

Personally, it reminds me of the times when Mike Piazza would put the team on his back and the Mets would be on or go in a tear

Martín Peréz is the Padres' Paul Blackburn — the veteran journeyman rotation backender who has spent an impressively long career being good enough to stick in rotations with not-so-great teams, but usually not good enough to help them be not-so-great, picked up by a contender at the deadline, leading fans to shrug and ask why, before finding him surprisingly effective over his first several starts.

If what the Padres gave to Blackburn was indeed a corrective, let us please return the favor.

I'm watching Martin Perez and am reminded that ancient lefty Rich Hill did not sign with a team for the stretch

Bye bye Perez, with the bases loaded and two outs.

What could possibly go wrong?

Brandon is a rare egg who stays in the baseline lane on that play.

Righty-batting Mets have been really susceptible to pitches two feet outside during this series.

Mets up 1-sniffle though five.

They don't seem to want to win, hopefully they'll wake the funk up.
