Methead Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 That meatball he served up to Albies the other day looked DFA-worthy to me.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 No doubt. His work in the eighth inning last night was just such a dead-man-pitching performance that it was a human tragedy to watch. He surely knew he was pitching for his baseball life but he seemingly only had a total of maybe four competitive pitches in his arm.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Curtiss was signed in 2021 and kept on the DL all year while he recovered from surgery. He's got a lot of big league experience and throws a hard slider and is generally known for his control. That last trait hasn't necessarily been as evident so far post surgery, and he's mostly had a rough time in Syracuse this season.I'd like to tell you how he's giving hints of finding himself his last few games, but if he is, it's not so much showing up in the box scores.Lefthander Josh Walker appeared in the Tampa series, throwing one inning, walking a pair, but getting out of it. It's his only MLB appearance to date, despite being 28, but he's having a real good season for Syracuse, with a 1.45 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 18 2/3 innings, along with holding lefties to an .077 batting average.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Tommy Hunter clears waivers and is unconditionally released.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 That's the last of Addison Reed.Well, directly, anyhow. A smidgen of Addison Reed lives on in Edwin Diaz.
