That's merely an agreement in advance of the arbitration process which was delayed due to the off-season lockout. League-wide arbitration decisions have been coming down over the last week or two but

Contreras, like all the other arb-players, was already tied to his team for '22, only the numbers remained TBD. None of this means he can't be traded between now and whenever the deadline is these days.

I know. Re-read my post. I added a sentence or two, probably just before you wrote your post.
