Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 it's also not going to help when, in a long season after a short one, players get a little fatigued and the mets have fewer off days than everyone else. no IL for deGrom _yet_, but they were going to send down the reliever anyway, who wasn't available. And today they get an extra guy and 4 less innings because Manfred Hates Baseball, so they're not really losing out on roster spots.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 I forgot about that 7 inning bullshit for today's games.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 Our fifth and sixth 7-inning games of the year, aka: 24% of the total to date.First pitches scheduled for 5:15 EDT for Game 1 and ... whenever for the nightcap.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 I forgot about that 7 inning bullshit for today's games. Dr. Anthony Fauci said yesterday that the US is in the "bottom of the sixth" in the Covid-19 timeline. A reply tweet asked if it was a 7 or 9 inning game.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 3 games in 24 hours. Fun for us, tough for themSome good data above from FK, acting as our Steve Kornacki. From a selfish (and irrelevant to the CPF) perspective, I have 4 Mets hitters on a fantasy team so 7-inning games aren't helping me build the "counting stats".
