Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Maybe this is the first time I've watched this season...They're giving betting odds on whether Howie Kendrick will get a hit tonight or whether Pete Alonso will hit a homer. (Bet $100 and if he homers you win $265.)Are the Wilpons looking to make some extra money by making book on SNY?)
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 I guess it's kind of an additional broadcast endorsement of the sponsor, maybe part of the advertising contract package.I'm all for legalized gambling, but pimping odds on stuff on a team-owned broadcastis kinda dumb to me. Kids are watching, people with gambling issues too.
