Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Seemingly, the flammability of the Mets bullpen has abated a bit, and the need in the rotation certainly appears to be greater than the relief corp, which certainly has a lot of redundancy, even if they aren't quite firing on all cylinders. So, considering it's a kooky season with only a short time to go, if there's ever going to be a time to give Lugo his wish of one more chance at the rotation, why not now?
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 I'd rather have Lugo as one of the very best relievers around. Seth's history with the partially torn ligament is enough for me not to change the role he performs so well
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 As much as I agree that the rotation is the bigger mess right now, I'm with ashie on this. I'd say re-recall Franklyn Kilome and milk the ten relievers for all they're worth.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 The Lugo Option wasn't one of Robert Ludlum's better novels.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 I think it was one of the ones that were written after he was dead.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Probably. Being dead would definitely be a drag on the writing quality.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 12, 2020 Author Posted August 12, 2020 Not for Ludlum, I'll wager.
