Oh, Tubby qualifies as a real legend.

Tubby's wife -- Dave's Mom -- was deaf, and bringing some real-life experience to the Phanatic's expressiveness.

Dave Raymond was riding high on his Phanatic success when he tried to establish a bar/laundromat in Newark but that venture was more like the Expos' doomed mascot Souki.
