Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Not exactly the NLCS, but did Adam Eaton earn villain status (if not Utley-level) for his hard slide into Phil Evans?[fimg=600:8lmhdmcq]https://thenypost.files.wordpress.com/2018/08/evans.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=1236&h=820&crop=1[/fimg:8lmhdmcq]I'm (ridiculously) blacked out of Mets-Nats games, so I didn't see it. I'd like to say I saw the Mets showing a nu fire against the Braves last night. Maybe if I squinted harder.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 I thought it was pretty kosher, the booth did too (in case you want a moreprofessional and unbiased opinion)...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 3, 2018 Author Posted August 3, 2018 Mickey seemed to think he had cause to complain.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 I believe they reviewed it, if he further beefed afterward I guess juststicking up for your guy. If he didn't, it would be a 'thing' for a week theway things are going.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 3, 2018 Author Posted August 3, 2018 Yeah it would.[fimg=350:2nazdi69]https://metsrostercentral.files.wordpress.com/2018/08/adam.jpg[/fimg:2nazdi69]
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Don't know why ya gotta mock me, whatever.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 3, 2018 Author Posted August 3, 2018 Mock you? Hey, I agree with you.If anybubs, I was mocking Mickey. You're awesome!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 I thought Adam Eaton's slide was clean and legal. Middle infielders need to protect themselves and avoid incoming slides as much as possible. Evans made zero attempt to avoid the slide he had to know was coming.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 The only other opponent to earn Utley -like status was Roger, the fat coward, bat-tossing, motherfucker, Clemens for a dangerous act that should have gone punished. This wasn't even close. It was solid, hard-nosed, old school baseball we sometimes wish the Mets would play. Later
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Seemed like cricket to me. Hard cricket, but still... above board.
