Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 In the first of four games in Fenway this weekend and the first of 10 BOS/NYY games still remaining for the season, CC Sabathia has thrown 75 pitches just to get through 3 innings (think this one is getting done in under four hours?) and yet is winning the game as the Sawx have left one, three, and two on while managing to hit two solo HRs (that's a tough act to pull off)4-2 Yanx thru threeThe other big four-game series this week is the Brewers @ Dodgers. Brews took 2 of the first 3. Tonight it's Joulys Chacin (10-3) vs KershawDodgers are tied w/DBacks. Brewers are 1.0 game behind Cubs
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 The Red Stockings just put up an 8 spot and now lead 10 - 4. Cee Cee was pulled after three (he's on a pitch count???? ) and the damage was done to the MFY bullpen.Later

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2018 Author Posted August 4, 2018 Wait, the Yanx & Sawx completed a game in 2:15!?!?!?And that somehow happened with Severino throwing over 100 pitches in 5.2.Talk about your cats and dogs living together. 2:15 into a Boston/Yanx game usually finds you somewhere around the top of the 5th.4-1 Red Sox is your final.
