Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Author Posted May 21, 2018 I went with 1966 because the drawing is more skillfully done and because it's less weird. (Although the two guys holding the bamboo poles are kinda hinky.)

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 This is probably the end of '66 run, and I voted for it.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 All right, Gallo. The cook is over. These enthusiastic gentlemen will be escorting to your seat so you can observe your mentor in the next round. C'mon, let's Go-Go-Go!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Is Doug Flynn the weakest, least-productive player to ever grace the cover of a year book? Both FanGraphs (0.4 WAR) and Baseball-Reference (1.0 WAR) list his 1980 as his only positive-WAR season since leaving Cincinnati, so if ever he was to make the cover, 1981 would be the year.Which isn't to suggest that the guy wasn't a hero to me. He was!
