EXPECTATIONS for 18: Adonis Uceta

Don't have any expectations of David Thompson? Well, you ought to have some expectations of me. You know who had expectations of me? My mother did. You don't get the name Adonis for nothing.

I signed with the Mets as an older teenager, and after spending 2013 and 2014 interning in the Dominican Summer League, I won me the coveted Sterling Award in the GCL in 2015. I had some fallback in 2016, but last year I was dazzling. A comet. I mean, I hope you were wearing asbestos underpants, because I set pants on fire, climbing through Columbia, St. Lucie and Binghamton in a single season, finishing with a 1.51 ERA over three levels. Organizational All-Star.

That got me inivited to Spring Training. Sure, I spent most of my time there recovering from injury (*coughBarwisMethodscough*), but I'm already back in action with Binghamton, pitching an inning on opening day, walking one and striking out two.

Opportunity is all I need, for I am Adonis Uceta. Don't leave the door open, because I am coming through it. When? You tell me.
