Guest 41Forever Guests Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 My wife is a huge Christie fan, so we went to see this on opening night. I liked it. Certainly is beautifully photographed. Stays pretty faithful to the source, though there are some action-like scenes thrown in there. I know there's has been some criticism that Poirot's mustaches is too over the top, and it does get a little distracting. The challenge for the producers is that everybody in the theater probably knows the ending. So you have to do some things with the story to hold interest. But overall, I think this was a good movie. Enjoy.

RealityChuck Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 I enjoyed it. I had read the book, so I knew the killer, but it'd been a long time and, like any train trip, the best part is the journey. Branagh was a good Poirot once you got used to the moustache. I was a big fan of his when he started out. This is nothing like his best, but still a classy entertainment.
