  3. OlerudOwned wrote: It's not a fluke, either. Here's the OPS+ split by inning. 1st inning: 126 2nd inning: 101 3rd inning: 122 4th inning: 102 5th inning: 92 6th inning: 110 7th inning: 85 8th inning: 92 9th inning: 84 Extras inn: 78 Is this the OPS+ for the inning or just straight OPS+? Cuz if it's straight OPS+, which I'm guessing it is, it won't tell us how the Mets do in the ninth compared to other teams in the ninth.
  4. Let Heilman hit.

  6. ="OlerudOwned"]Tom McCarthy doesn't know where he is, just said 3 times that Aaron Heilman has had a history of troubles "here at Shea Stadium." He might be broadcasting from the tennis center.
  7. Centerfield wrote: Wait a second, I've seen this episode before. Pujols hits a bomb to LF and the Mets lose. You misspelled Molina.
  8. If we win this game he automatically gets to be a starter.
  9. Schneider's homer is comiing in the 13th if we can get there.
  10. AG/DC wrote: And the offense that fails in the last third of the game can't attributed to different personnel. Pinch hitters maybe. We don't have Anderson hitting 25 pinch homeruns this year.
  11. Could be. But we'll be out of pitchers in the 12th and they only gave up 2 in their first four innings. Ayala's run was fairly cheap. Try to save the long man at least. Pedro only going five doesn't help.
  12. Sarcasm aside aren't the Mets third in the NL in runs scored?
  13. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: ="Centerfield"]If Heilman can actually get Rollins here, I will start to believe we actually have a shot at winning this damn game. Am I still awake?
  14. I dunno, I see a lot of empty seats on the field level.
  15. Nymr83 wrote: heilman gets through it but he's probably thrown 50 pitches in 2 innings here, and schoenweis is the only one left out there. this has been my only complaint about Manuel so far, he uses the relievers for a batter or two at a time which can leave him short-handed in extras. I was thinking that earlier but didn't think we could possibly go to extras again.
  16. 2 runs in 6 innings for the pen today.
  17. That's crazy. Where'd you get those stats?
  18. Strike 2 was hot, buckled his knees.
  19. Strike 1 looking.
  20. I'll go with Nymr. 7 runs should be enough.
  21. Delgado with the leather. Tough hop.
  22. The starter did the majority of the shitting. 5 of the runs in the first 5.
