  2. Johnny Dickshot wrote:Great escape job by Pedro. He's prolly done.100 pitches on the bone.(that dont sound right^)If he gets to bat this inning(& that would be good), we'll find out.If he dont and is schedl up next inn, Id run him back out there to start the inning.
  3. he gets out of it.GOOD JOB!
  4. 2 hits.Only one out, 2 on.Pedro up to 93 pitches.
  5. ="DocTee"]Question re: superstition... does it only apply to the spoken? Or any mention? If the latter, check out the mets homepage--Dumbass IT dept.Damn, you gotta be kiddin me.I guess im still not used to how fast things go these days. AND SHITTTTa single.I blame that webpage.
  6. Johnny Dickshot wrote:Hat.I have a collection of met hats, so I can afford that.Only have the one scooby snack.Hat it is.Yikes, I just noticed the unmentionable myself. Pedro got thru that inning nicely. If he finds one of his REAL grooves.............Ill shutup.
  7. I hope the Dback batters help out by swinging their bats and not looking at too many pitches. Pedros up to 67 pitches.Afew quick innings is what we need. Get him to go deep before we hit the pen. We could def use 7 or 8 from pedro. If he goes deeper than that Ill eat my scooby snack......or my Met hat.You can make the call......
  8. whats he doin there? Scratchin fleas? And that is his tail, right?(I know we got some youngins who view. I must behave)
  9. smooth 1-2-3 inning for DaAce.i went looking for an appropriet pic of scooby horizontally floating and embracing himself.Couldnt find one. So ill have to settle for this scooby snack

  13. metirish wrote:It would be nice to see Beltran do something, when was his last home run, seems like ages ago.I agree here. Now would be a good time for Beltran to do a lil hittin.I know many made light of how he hits when Pedro pitches(early on), but at least we had that to poke fun at. Ive enjoy watchin Beltran do the little things. I really want to see him do more of the bigger things during this stretch. He grounded out.
  14. Pitchers of Martinez's level always seem to find a way.A pop up and a foul out and its still 2-0 Mets.On an unrelated note, Shilling got shelled today in his 1st game back as a starter.5 innings pitched. Gave up 8 hits, 6 earned runs. Threw 81 pitches, only walking one.
  15. maybe struggling is an overreaction to the fact he's all ready thrown over 50 pitches in the 3rd
  16. so far, I cant complain.Mets got 2 on small ball and long ball, and our ace is on the mound. Struggling tho, even tho no hits yet.Councell walks and steals 2nd.Do your stuff Pedro. However you do it, keep us in the lead.
  17. I have to say I agree with the league wide retiring numbers aspect, but since they did start that, I think he should be one of them. His nationality in no way played a factor in my decision.Just his performance, his numbers, and his class as a person. But I respect all Ive read here, and you guys are probly right.
  18. this list looks pretty complete.Id add Mike Lieberthal, Phils catcher, for dissin his own pitchers at times as well as the umps he has to work with.Seems all you have to do to become an asshole is become a starting catcher for the Phils.Darren 'Dutch" Dalton was one of the biggest assholes in MLB history, and Lieberthal seems proud to keep up that tradition. Both decent players.Im sure at least one more will come to mind eventually.
  19. ahhhhhhhhhhhh,.what a night. :D LATE!

  21. I say yessiree.I saw this guy play. He was phenominal.Hitting, fielding, throwing. And I say yes not just for how he played, but more for how he lived.A great human being. Died being a trulifehero. Not just a baseball hero.(I saw this in the daily news today. You can go there and vote on their website.)
