My friends and I drove out to Cape May a few years ago. We found this lonely bar in the offseason and ordered some Adam Morgans. Got hammered.

Gorgeous.

With Duda out and Cuddy not delivering any long balls, could we use Wright at first base? Why move him, and play Murphy at third, when it's the same effect on your lineup to play the experienced Murphy at first?

The way I'd be tempted to play it is to make a first base platoon out of Murphy (who's playing great over there) and Uribe (who's only played a handful of games at first). Uribe can continue to get spot starts at third. Then it's a three-man/two-position platoon at second and short, with Tejada against lefties and Johnson against righties (unless/until Terry gives up on Johnson) and Flores swinging back and forth. Similar to the way they're playing center and left as a virtual platoon between Lagares and Conforto. In right, Cuddy can take at-bats from Grandy against lefties. I don't think Terry's going to go for the last one, and he probably won't play Uribe at first, but it's a system that gets everybody work and gets the best match ups.

Good? You both predicted and rooted for Wright to not return? What hap'd to that? Bisbol! First Coors sweep ever for the record-setting Mets.

Nolan is just a wonderful player. Fortunately, "fast down the line" is not part of his arsenal of weapons.

Terry, you maybe didn't want to send a rookie out there.

A four-run lead in Colorady is a save situation.

Mo Vaughn on to pitch for the Rockies.

It was shortlisted by famed Internet tradeshooter John Cougar Lunchbucket.

And seven K-skis. What a great time to give the bullpen a little bit of help.

Verrett's pitching into the seventh, with only 73 pitches under his belt. And lest it isn't clear ... in Denver!

Cespedes makes it to the United States, scores a big contract, and he's still getting screwed by Castro.

Kinda happy the Mets didn't deal for Charlie Blackmon about now.

We might get another one of those 10-stikeout/

Verrett may be a pitcher. He's seemingly passed Montero and looks to be the number 6 starter at the top of next season.

Hey, look. Starlin Castro is warming up for the Rockies. So that's what happened to him.

You'd figure we'd have heard about it if Nook LaLoushe was pitching for the Rockies.

"We'll see what happens here," Reyes continued. "But in the next couple years, I don't want to waste my time like that. ... I don't have to prove myself to anyone. People know what I'm capable of. Mets are fielding like pros so far.
