Deep hole now. Nothing good really happening since the second out.
  2. Edgy MD
Torrens stays in but Weaver got shaken up watching his catcher drop.
  3. Edgy MD
    Looking bad for Torrens.
  4. Edgy MD
    Luke Weaver has 98?
  5. Edgy MD
Looking him up, he apparently had a pre-raiding career as well.
  6. Edgy MD
They should be letting McLean bat.
  7. Edgy MD
Ball four to Moreno should have been challenged by the Mets. But strike three to Fernandez right after that should have been challenged by the Serpientes.
  8. Edgy MD
Chasing that high fastball. Chasing that high fastball. Also, they're chasing that high fastball. They are taking the name "Chase Field" too literally.
  9. Edgy MD
The Serpientes uniform features turquoise on purple with a very narrow black outline. They're trying hard, but it doesn't really pop. A white outline would've worked better.

Yeah, averages are still skewed at this point.
  11. Edgy MD
Mets batters chasing heat upstairs consistently.
  12. Edgy MD
Will everybody who had "HUUUUUUUUUUUGE expectations" please raise your hand.
  13. Edgy MD
Nolan Arrenado suddenly looks kinda juiced.
  14. Edgy MD
Even Keith shouldn't sleep on Mark Vientos.
  15. Edgy MD
Keith sounds half-asleep. McLean seems much sharper. I didn't even know that Mark Lindsay had a non-Raiders solo career.

Baty-Vientos-Benge through the heart of the order is a terrific leap of faith. You'll see. Mets with their back up against it is a good show to watch. Sometimes, it's the best show to watch.

Please feel free to share said videos. Also, since you are hinting at the starting lineup, please feel free to post it in the future. METS Starting Pitcher: Nolan McLean RHP 1-2, 2.97 ERA Lineup: Juan Soto (L) LF Bo Bichette (R) SS Brett Baty (L) 3B Mark Vientos (R) 1B Carson Benge (L) CF Marcus Semien (R) 2B MJ Melendez (L) RF Francisco Alvarez (R) DH Luis Torrens (R) C ARIZONA Starting Pitcher: Ryne Nelson RHP 1-3, 6.61 ERA Lineup: Geraldo Perdomo (S) SS Ketel Marte (S) 2B Corbin Carroll (L) RF Adrian Del Castillo (L) DH Ildemaro Vargas (S) 1B Nolan Arenado (R) 3B Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (R) LF Gabriel Moreno (R) C Jorge Barrosa (S) CF I get the feeling that, if you are not named "Nolan" or "Ryne" or maybe "Bryce," you ain't nuttin' in this world.

Diamondbacks coming off losing a home series to the Pirates, despite outscoring the Buccos — winning the first game 9-0 before dropping the second and third by 1-0 and 4-2 scores. I'll let you guess who pitched the first eight innings of that 1-0 game for the Pirates. Stick around for fireworks after the game.

The Mets losing a day off for travel due to the mid-series weather cancellation in Colorado is at least mitigated by their quick jaunt south to Arizona. (The Rockies, by contrast have to fly to the East Coast and lose two hours.) It's a fair guess that many Met fans who flew to Denver to take in the action will follow the team to Phoenix for the continued fun, and you can too — at least digitally, but partaking in this exciting in-game thread!!! Nolan McLean brings it for the Mets against fellow righthander Ryne Nelson. The Mets — and I have confirmed this with my own research — are undefeated on May 8, 2026. DIAL IN FOR THE ACTION RIGHT HERE!!

I don't know that he's done or not, but just as AJ Minter seemed about done with his rehab assignments, he was set back by a sore hip.
  21. Edgy MD
Benge shouldn't have been swinging either, for that matter.
  22. Edgy MD
Brujan had no business going up swinging there.
  23. Edgy MD
I left to walk the dogs with the Mets tied 2-2. What did you people do?
