  1. Who'd have thought that tickets would become so poorly regulated that the only way they found to control the secondary scalpers' market was to scalp you up front at the box office.
  2. If he's like everybody else, he probably checked a box saying that, sure, he's read the five-page, single-spaced, six-point-type agreement, and assents to all its terms, when he, in fact, had read not two words. That's a great place to hide the fuck-you fees.

First sign of trouble you pull him. Seems obvious to me. Even stealing one more out from his arm would have mattered. I'm not sure why any manager would lift him there. Because he's a fucking idiot. Maybe. But to me, the greater problem is that he's part of a culture of idiocy. I have no idea who is willing to zag when the whole world is zigging.

  6. Lefty Specialist wrote: Mickey gave Alonso Friday off, and it didn't help. Sometimes these things just happen. Against a lefty, too. Played Canó against both lefties though. Agreed that these things happen. I still think it would help them both to bat them three and four with Nimmo leading off.
  7. Not pointing fingers, but acknowledging that it's a tough time to see them slumpin'. My finger remains totally pointed at the manager.
  8. It's hard to admit after all they've done for the team this year, but right now, McNeil and Alonso are not helping the team much at all. I don't know necessarily how to address that, but let me put in one more plug for batting Nimmo leadoff.
  9. Ay. That pitch one called strike is looking like boochit on GameDay.
  10. Shouldn't the runner be Haggerty and not Davis?
  11. Shmugo on. Great. Could have used him a run ago, though.
  12. Well, winning was nice. Now we're in the tie zone.
  13. But a big strikeout of Muncie.
  14. And the tying run to third on a wild pitch, or pehaps a Pabst ball.
  15. I would have gone straight to Lugo here. AND ... a walk and a balk by Wilson.
  16. I don't like this carrot top dude. Let's light him up! He took a liner to the noggin a few weeks ago. Howie compared him to Yukon Cornelius, which is just a crazy thing to say when Justin Turner is in the house. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B40mtKfIYAA4ImX.jpg>
  17. If the Phils, Brews, D-Backs beat out the Mets, well, they deserve to lose. Cubs and Nats are who they really have to target at this point.
  18. Wheelie gave me pause but pitched through it.
  19. The Phils will phade. They're phaking it with their pitching staff.
  20. Metz jump to the early lead on a Nimmo triple. Joe Torre in the booth with Howie and Wayne and man, this guy can make a two-run triple boring.
  21. Anybody else briefly worry that Nimmo was going to get called back after his HbP, as he did twice last season, for not doing enough to dodge the pitch?
  22. Last night's swing may well have been the difference between Rajai making a post-season roster and Rajai just going along for the ride.
  23. You see trouble in a relationship, it's time to move in and show what you've got, before the one you want falls back into old habits and re-settles with the old-boyfriend.
  24. So, what's the deal here? Do you think this guy isn't actually cleared to play defense. Going against two all-star lefties, the Mets started several lefthanded batters, including Canó twice, but this guy still hasn't played the field. Or run the bases for that matter. Do you think the Mets activated him before they otherwise might've, and they don't trust his legs? Or perhaps they just think he's just too far behind to trust with four at-bats in a game?
