  1. For the purposes of this poll, facts coming to light still count as coming to light whether or not they "should be legal."
  2. ceetar has already uncovered the nearest watering salon, with drinks and prices.
  3. How much faith do we have in our reporters to get the story? [fimg=600]https://thecomeback.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/zack-scott-mets.jpg[/fimg]
  4. I think we need money on this. Will further details of Zack Scott's lost hours and activities on the night in question be revealed publicly?
  5. Cincinnati currently leading for that second wild card spot, which just doesn't feel right. The Mets sit 5 1/2 games off that pace, but three teams are in between them and the Reds. I've said it before, but we're gonna have to bop our way home.
  6. While I'm joking about Todd Zeile, I think we will learn more about the night and the unacccounted-for hours.
  7. Mets will likely offer Rehab. Which means that the Mets might end up with a GM who is both "interim" and "acting." Wild guess: Todd Zeile.
  8. Yeah, I'm not sure due diligence is going to pick up on a likelihood to get picked up on a DUI. In retrospect, it would seem the the clues were there with Calloway and Porter, if you were willing to pursue it. Maybe, however, we'll find out more about Scott's background that the Mets might have missed, as we go forward.
  9. Adrian Gonzalez.
  10. Alex Rodriguez.
  11. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=76208 time=1630533850 user_id=68] If Cohen's party ended at 9PM and Scott was arrested at 4AM, Scott made some lengthy pit stops in between.
  12. It's something that it was a party at Cohen's hoose and all these players and team personnel were there and nobody noticed the GM in no shape to drive.
  13. It strikes me for the first time that Cohen lives in Stamford, so Bobby Valentine is running to be his mayor.
  14. No. But thumbs down to Scott.
  15. So, do you think the Mets have ever pulled this off? I imagine the best way to find out is to start with catchers, and the sun person who has done the most catching for the Mets is Ramón Castro. Maybe we can go to 2006 and get a lineup of Orlando Hernandez/Ramón Castro/Carlos Delgado/Chris Woodward/Victor Diaz/José Reyes/Endy Chavez/Blastings Thrilledge/Cliff Floyd. Woodward strikes me as mixed race so I'm including him. Others from that team include Pedro Martinez, Michael Tucker, Julio Franco, Anderson Hernandez, etc. José Valentín seems mostly Euro-Indian, but he probably qualifies by whatever standard, as would Beltran. The 2006ers also have the added virtue of having sun persons fill out the lineup card and in the number two seat.
  16. https://twitter.com/SteveGelbs/status/1432821696747159556 1. Gary's call. 2. Gary's enthusiasm. 3. Ronnie's "keeping going" 4. Ronnie's admiration for Gary's "TURN THOSE THUMBS AROUND!" 5. Keith's not giving a frig. Can't one of the interns score the game for you, and keep it on your monitor, Keef
  17. If it makes you feel any better, FanGraphs data for the continued games are all screwed up too.
  18. I'm guessing Bill Mazeroski hadn't fully yielded to Rennie Stennett by then, and was still getting a lot of part-time work, so he's my guess.
  19. Mazeika got hit on the side of the helmet with a bat and it knocked his beard off.
  20. Suddenly, Conforto's OPS is over .700. It's a Lindor and McNeil battling it out for who the biggest load on the team is.
  21. Too many fastballs, Loogy. Curve him inside.
  22. The Mets follow with three line-drive oots.
  23. I was out walking the canines and missed this ending completely.
