  1. This is hilarious... ] Rivera is an untouchable in New York. The Eliot Ness of baseball in a media town more ruthless than Al Capone. You know he has been waiting to use that line for years. ] If anything, Metallica should consider giving Rivera a small cut of the royalties from that album what an asshole you are...
  2. This shit has bloggers going ape..... http://newsday.typepad.com/sports_kbqb/2006/04/let_the_sandman.html
  3. "Harvester of Sorrow" by Metallica would be cool, you better be bringing the heat though, not a song for a nibbler.
  4. Back to Lo Duca.....he's sponsored by a Rock Band at Baseball reference. http://www.baseball-reference.com/l/loducpa01.shtml how cool is that?
  5. "Faith" by George Michael

  7. Cooby you must have known this thread wouldd go this way... "Ordinary Man" by Christy Moore( hardly inspires confidence)
  8. "Take on Me" by AHA
  9. Nady made a dream start in his Mets debut going 4 for 4, Mike Cameron meanwhile was put on the 15 day-DL retroactive to March 31. Nady is used to quick starts though, he went 4 for 4 in his ST debut with the Mets then went into a 1 for 28 dive, last season with the Padres he homered twice on Opening Day. When Howie Rose introduced him yesterday he tald the crowd that Nady as the all-time leader in slugging percentage in Pac-10 history. Nady laughed saying.. You can't dig up anything else?" Nady deadpanned afterward. "That was college, like six years ago. Maybe go back to my high school days." more to come.
  10. Good stuff Rotty, lets hope the Randolf Mets are not slow starters like Valentine's used to be.....we need to be the beasts of the east.
  11. Yeah I think he is Edgy, when Jesse visted the booth they talked again about Keith telling Jesse to throw your fukcing slider, a story I have heard Gary Carter say is BS.......any chance of getting the clock updated here?
  12. Time to clear up the "Enter Sandman" debate... From Wagner......... ] For the record, Wagner said those quibbling with his entry music ought to take up their grievance with his former Astros teammate Jeff Bagwell. When Wagner began his major-league career in Houston, he used George Strait's "They Call Me the Fireman," which Bagwell prodded him to change. "I know, Mariano's got it. Lord forbid, the Earth should crumble if two people have it," Wagner playfully said about the Metallica tune he has since used. "I play for the Mets. He plays for the Yankees. I never have to face him and he never has to face me. So there's really no big competition there." Were M&MD really making this an issue?
  13. Floyd might be just to honest or quotable... ] "Nothing against Loop. Nothing against Roberto. I love both of those dudes," Cliff Floyd said, referring to the 2005 late-inning combo of Roberto Hernandez and Looper. "Those guys gave us all they had. Loop was hurt. But everything now just feels different."
  14. No doubt that Lo Duca will become a fan fave, in the papers this morning he's getting described as "gritty and hard nosed",a " do all it takes to win" kinda player, and he's honest...on the Soriano play he said this.. ] "I'll be honest, I think Soriano's a real good player but with a chance to be second-and-third and no outs, you've got to know that's not a good play,"
  15. Damn he is cut......look at that pout..tis to die for...
  16. Yeah but you love me...
  17. Well he is married to Megan but judge for yerself....
  18. True but I feel that will happen less than what happend tonight.
  19. Yeah you both are right, still I feel for the kid...
  20. I need to ask a dumb question, lets say Kazmir flames out, what responsibility if any do the Mets have in his career?, what i mean is that if he were still with the Mets chances are that he would still be in the minors,it looks like he was rushed ot the bigs and perhaps this might ruin him.....
  21. While looking for pics of his wife I found this, I knew he had a studio and that his Dad worked for him,but didn't know he was an avid photographer, check out his work here... http://beautyandsport.com/bio/bio.htm
  22. If Pedro does what he did last season then this offence should win more of his quaility starts...last season the Mets were terrible in that.
  23. Edgy you sound like Fran Healy....who of course I miss, as those Cooby I am sure.
  24. Yeah, he had his eyes on the ball and arms extended...damn.
  25. At least on a few anyway CF, Keith remarked on that when he threw one past Soriano.
