Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Searage has made like nine trips out to the mound already (OK it's maybe more like three but it seems like more) but, jeez, it's only the 4th inning.Cap those trips! Cap those trips!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 We have far too many XBHs in four innings to only have four runs to show for it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 But hey, Wheeler just found a six-pitch inning!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Hey, José ... bunting is a running play. RUN!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Looks like W.P. Kinsella behind the plate in the first row.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Mets lead down to one. Turn those DPs, Neil Walkie.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Neil Ramirez, we need you at your best, man.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Beautiful Blevvy. One more out, man.And then six more outs.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Whew!Six more of those. And maybe nine insurance runs in the meantime.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Nice by Blevins after the semi-pitch-around to Harrison. In case you ever forget who the NYM starting catcher is under all that gear, it's easy to figure out. d'Arnaud leads the league in pointing back to his pitcher. He does it after every third pitch or so.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 I wasn't wild about the double-switch with Flores in for Duda. But the pitcher's slot is likely to come up this inning and, if so, it'll keep Blevins in the game to face the lefty Polanco to start the 8th, plus the Pitt closer, Tony Watson, is a LHP so you might not want Duda in there anyway in the late inning.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Well Flores didn't show his value there in the top of the eighth.Duda's also the better fielder. But hey, Blevvy seeing a fourth batter will be novel.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Good show, Jerry. Got another double switch coming. Maybe Flores comes right back out.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Double-switching in Lagares = good move.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Need a run or four here.Reed hasn't exactly been Mr. Lockdown lately.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Sheesh, Juan, just stay back there and be you.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Well, double switching Lagares into the game was soitenly the right move.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Well this was fun while it lasted.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Our bullpen doesn't do well in extras.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Or regulation, it seems, but making the catch to go to extras beats the alternative.
