Yeah, the bat-speed is there. The physique is there. It's the judgment that's bolloxed.

It's something of a comfort that we've seen him look like this before. But perhaps not this deeply this long.

I mean, does, quite publicly. It's just a question of whether that, specifically, is what's bugging him. Or, rather, it's not. Maybe he has a hidden UTI. Maybe he has recurrent nightmares about Voldemort going 9-for-9 for the Marlins and passing him for the batting title because he benched himself. Maybe he can't stop thinking about whether Kim and Kanye will stay together. It doesn't really matter what the issue is, ultimately; whatever it is, it will either resolve itself or it won't, or it'll be an easy fix... or it won't. The real question is how long the Mets can wait, and what they'll do when they can't do nothing anymore.
