Right?Tebow, for all the talk of being a distraction, ended up being a bit of a positive story, from what I can tell. This guy speculated that a last-home stand call-up could happen. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/tim-tebow-will-return-to-the-mets-in-2018-though-a-september-call-up-is-uncertain/
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 he wrote that three weeks ago. Tebow hurried back to his tv job. Also if he does intend to return next season he can't get a call-up because the only possible way the Mets put him on the 40 is if they cut him immediately after the season.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 25, 2017 Author Posted September 25, 2017 Yeah, the only way the Mets were ever going to give him a September callup was if he and they had understood that he was done with the baseball fandango after the season. If they want him to continue this career, by all means, keep him off the 40 until he's ready to help the team.A September callup in 2018 would be a raging success, and just about in perfect alignment with the best-reasonable-case timetable. If the Mets want to call up an extry outfield dude for the remaining games, I would recommend Travis Snider.
