A whole bunch of Kevin Kaczmarskis out there as the Mets trail 7-0. deGrom started strong and then got hit hard in the sixth. Roseboom gave up an inherited run and two runs of his own, while retiring nobods.

Goeddel gave up a run plus a runner bequeathed to him, but Montero had a strong inning, and I suspect Montero is ahead in the race for the fifth righthander out of the pen.

Two-out eighth-inning triple by Taijeron may be the first real highlight for the Mets. Kelly up trying to plate him.

Kelly and Zabala did their job, walking to set up Champ Stuart, but the House of Stuart fell, as champ reached for a pitch outside and grounded out.

Not a glorious day for the Empire.

A Woodmansee double down the line and it's second and third with none out in the ninth.

They may score after all. J.C. Rodriguez at the plate.

Bounces a doubleplay ball and IT GETS BY BUCKNER! TWO-RUN ERROR! STILL NONE OUT!

Taijeron back at the plate ...

Twelve-pitch at-bat, but warrior Taijeron goes down looking at a slider on the inside part of the plate.

Marlins go to the pen. Ty Kelly due up but the fans are chanting for Tebow.

Kelly drops a single into left field! It's 7-4!

Tying run at the plate in the form of ... Blake Tiberi!

OHMYGAWD!

Tiberi, who spent last summer playing mediocre third base for Brooklyn, grounds to third, but beats out the double play. Mets are alive!

Champ Stuart back at the plate.

STUART RIPS A TWO-STRIKE PITCH TO LEFT!

METS WITHIN TWO!

TYING RUN ON FIRST!
