Has anyone formally come out and said Cespedes might have been a juicer in Cuba.

I guess we would never know, What scares me are the similarities between Cespedes hip and Arod's hip.

I have not seen the Mets say any more about Cespedes' condition than "he has a sore leg."

I mean wtf does that mean? Is the joint damaged, hip flexor?

Cmon Mets, how bad is it?

I've lost track but what date will it be fifteen days since he's been
'out?' I don't know what other teams do, but I think they mishandled
this if he can't play this weekend.

My impression is that the injury is "chronic" to the extent that it would take an off season to fully heal.

So the next best thing is to manage the injury in season with rest and less work in LF I guess.

Céspedes might have been a juicer in Cuba.

I've certainly said as much all along. Seriously, gun to your head, it's hard to bet any other way.

- I have no idea whether he is/was a juicer, but I don't think this injury adds any evidence one way or the other

- nor do I see any similarities, in type or in causation, between YC's strained quad muscle and ARod's degenerative hip condition

- It was clear at the time which play he hurt the leg on and, IIRC, the word came down fairly quickly and specifically that it was a 'strained quad'. You can choose to believe that or not but they weren't being vague.

- the injury occurred 13 days ago on the Friday prior to the ASB. Less than two weeks is a pretty quick trigger on labeling the injury as "chronic".
