Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 My boy has the coolest name in the organization! He's now a Cyclone...Yesterday tweeted: "Got a hot dog from the original Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs"When in Coney Island, ya do as the Coney's do!
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Colby batting a n-t-s .400 this short season. I also learned just nowthat we share a birth date which is cool coincidence.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 My boy made history yesterday being part of the first triple playin Brooklyn professional baseball since 1949.Image borrowed from his Twitter page:[fimg=550]http://www.kcmets.com/CPF/cyctripplay.jpg[/fimg]
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Saw my boy today in person for the first time. Couldn't get a very good picture asI only had my phone in tow. Colby and Peter Alonso were really the only two BC guys on the field today that struck me as having a professional-baseball look about them. They both had good games and two RBI each I think.Edgardo Alfonzo brought out the lineup card and I asked KB to guess who he waswhile he had his back to us with the umps. She got a kick out of it being him and he acknowledged her shout out to him when he returned to the dugout.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Side note: Does anyone recall hearing Woodmansee verbally pronounced? In my headI pronounce it the way it looks -- wood-man-see. The Renegades PA guy was pronouncingit more like wood-mans(z) or something. He was a goof-ball and I don't know if it was justhim or if it's not pronounced phonetically.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Not a lot of news on my adoptee (a word that Chrome strangely tells me doesn'texist) except that he leads the 22-22 Cardiac Clones* with a team leading .291 AVG, 17 R and 18 RBI. Not too shabby. *DAVID RUSSELL | Brooklyn Paper/Cyclones
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Colby did not start in last night's Penn League All-Star Game but went 1-3 and scored a run in the South's team victory. Colby was joined by two other Cyclones RHP Harol Gonzalez (1 IP) and 1B Pete Alonso DNP). Another story about the All-Star Game can be found in this Poughkeepsie Journal report.Since our last report two weeks ago, Woodmansee leads the Cyclones in G-46, AB-181,H-49, RBI-22, TB-64 (tied with Alonso), and unfortunately SO-59. His AVG has droppedto .271 (4th).
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Colby going to St Lucie on 9/18 with the others to Instructional League.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Where he can pal around with Tebow!!
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Yeah reading a few things here and there, he and Timmy may have a pretty high Sim Score off-the-field.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Guess my kid drink the kool-aid...Having been around him on and off the field, he's an awesome guy, and I have nothing but respect for him and his pursuit of baseball!
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Colby to St. Lucie, fill shoes of some guy named Rosario...http://www.tcpalm.com/story/sports/mlb/2017/04/04/st-lucie-opens-thursday-under-new-manager-kreuter/100021568/
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Found a blurb that Colby played in two games before a torn core muscle.Sounds painful, not much interweb coverage on him/it.He did tweet that Stanley Cup Finals > NBA Final... but, like, no duh....
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Looks like Colby (aka "Dynasty II") is going to be mostly repeating Brooklyn.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 Too many of those Nathan's Franks. Colby got released.
