Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Early impression: The first thing that strikes me is that I haven't seen him swing at a bad pitch yet. Took hacks at some borderline offerings w/2 strikes but those were protection type swings which he fought off nicely and has yet to go fishing for garbage (and isn't THAT a nice change?). The plate discipline and controlled swing are what the scouting reports have said about him and, small sample warning so far, he's been exactly that.
