Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I'm Eric Goeddel. You may know me from six more-or-less effective appearances at the end of 2014. The booth pronounced my name Guh-DELL, but my grandparents probably said GER-dil, like the undergarment. Anyhow, the Mets must've liked what they saw, because they protected me in the Rule V while exposing (and ultimately losing) Logan Verrett.[fimg=550]http://thumb.usatodaysportsimages.com/image/thumb/650-510nw/8107019.jpg[/fimg]What I found most remarkable was the alarming exclamation point in the right field corner. Everything is so !!! in New York. Me, I'm more chill. What do you see the Mets getting out of old #62 in 2015?
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I see a B-Met making good!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I don't even remember this guy. Did he do good last year? Hard to believe he'll a chance unless there's some injury or three before they're ready to fire the Syndergaard and Matz cannons. So I'm giving him a post-clinch start in late September as we rest our guys for the playoffs. He wins that game, giving up 3 runs in 6.1, 4 whiffs, 2 walks (1 intentional).
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 His small line on the year, over six games, looked like a solid Ron Darling start. Kept the hits down, but too many walks making you live in fear of the big hit, needing a bailout from the pen.6.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 6 SOGood stuff, kid, but the walks'll get you eventually. Thirty walks in 63.2 innings in LV.

Midseason send-down.3 G, 2 1/3 IP, more free bases than you'd think in that time
