One of the Giants came off the bench and intercepted Ishikawa between 1st & 2nd last night but he just pushed on through and completed his trip.

And like Ventura's shot, Ishikawa's was ending the game whether it cleared the fence or not. The only question was the final score.
I still say the coolest thing about watching the GSS was that Brian Jordan's first move was to trot in from RF without even a glance towards the ball. It was the first thing I noticed at the time and it's still cool today.

Hard to ignore how flat that pitch comes in from McGlinchy. I imagine the pitchers were barely able to keep deliverin'.

Like Aaron Fultz a year later, I wouldn't swear I could've identified Kevin McGlinchy as an opposing pitcher in the Mets postseason until the moment of truth. Cox didn't need to delve that deep into his pen between Games 1 and 4.
