I've never heard of it but it's a pretty big web-site. If
there's info on what company owns it or where it's based
it's not easily found.

The article has now been rewritten to reflect that the original "admission" was, in fact, made up for demonstration purposes, and cites the initial source.
IOW, it's no longer what it was originally: not merely plagiarism but really bad plagiarism.
