Eamon McAneney, filling in for Burkhardt the last couple of games. Me no familiar with his work. His wikipedia profile says:

    SportsNet New York
Eamon is employed by SportsNet New York hosting various shows and as a fill-in field reporter for Kevin Burkhardt on New York Mets telecasts when Burkhardt is in the Mets booth or if Burkhardt is with his Dallas Cowboys on Compass Media Networks commitments.

    ESPN networks
McAnaney is also employed by the ESPN family doing sideline reporting and play-by-play announcing for college football, basketball, lacrosse, and various other sports, especially Big East football and basketball. He performed similar roles for MSG, Turner Sports, and the NBA TV. He started working as a producer for ESPN in Bristol before becoming a reporter, anchor, or play-by-play announcer.

    Other work
He served as an analyst and reporter for MSG's High School Game of the Week and serves as a color commentator for ESPN's coverage of college lacrosse. He also serves as one of the studio anchors for NBA TV and served as a sideline reporter for NBA playoffs on TNT.

    Personal
Eamon attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in America's studies and played on the Fighting Irish men's lacrosse team. Eamon and his wife along with his sons live in Manhattan. Nickname in college "The Big Red Dog"

Don't see a profile for him yet at the Ultimate Mets Database.

Born in Ireland Irish or just Fighting Irish?

I'm gathering that he's Irish by heritage and college affiliation, rather than birth.

I miss Guys! This guy is like... Cookie O'Guys!

These guys with Irish first names who weren't even born in Ireland are such poseurs.

From what I have seen he is rather annoying , although the times I have seen him it has been on SNY where he does a counter point with not Carlin, the other annoying guy so it may be it's the format, the format where they scream their points.

That would be Marc Malusis, who like Carlin is a Francesa lickspittle that inexplicably keeps getting sports broadcasting gigs.
