Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Carlos Torres had an option to force the Mets to promote him by a certain date or release him. So the date has come and he exercised that option. The Mets apparently have blinked and are promoting him.Collin McHugh (demoted) and Greg Boike (DFA) were on their way out anyhow.Torres is the author of two consecutive complete games and wins in five straight starts. I'd think that might help if I believed pitching was the problem.Anyhow, he's got a badass stare. Which is worth something, I think.
