The eight installment of the historical UP Series opens in the US today. This is a documentary I'll definitely make time to see when it comes to Boston.

What gets me about this series is that each iteration gets drastically more depressing than the next. It's really no fun to watch, unless you're the kind of person who takes pleasure in other people's sorrow.

Hmm...I've experienced it differently. Some of it's sad, but most of those people are in a much better place in their 40s than they were in their 20s.

I think I missed 49. When i was really young, I looked up to one of the kids as a role and kinda got disillusioned when he turned out be a loser.
