We sure are losin' players faster than we're gainin' 'em this offseason.

Acosta: good strikeout pitcher who nonetheless seemingly had trouble bearing down. Retained a lot more faith from the Mets than he ever earned. Could be as good as any pitcher in the pen for weeks at a time. The same could be said of almost any of them, of course, but when he wasn't right, whoo boy, powderkeg.

I thought he was pretty alright. Felt like the Mets trusted him less than worse guys they gave better opportunities to, but they were probably doing all of us a favor by not over-Acosting us.

Considering his big issues were untimely walks and gopher balls-- two things that hitter tendencies/management strategies tend to minimize in Japanball-- he could have hilariously good results in NPB, no?
