Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 What's happening there? Why did he come into the game so determined to ruin a perfect weekend? What can be done? He's got the speed, the movement, and the variety. But seems to have no idea where he wants to throw his pitches. Any of them. You're Dan Warthan. How do you begin to fix Parnell?

Didn't give up the run. the curveknuckle thingy is a new pitch for him, so it might just be he needs to make another adjustment as people are getting used to it. He seems to be just a bit off with his location lately, but I'm not actually worried about it yet.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 Looked all over the place to me.Curve looked good, but it's useless if you can't spot it.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Every relief guy will have 2 or 3 weeks of suck is how I'm looking at it. If this is seriously a thread to discuss how or what he's actually throwing or doing mechanically I have no clue and neither do you.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 Well, I have a clue. Just not much in the way of anything conclusive.I keep any disappointments about Parnell tempered by the realities that the Mets used a ninth-round pick to select a comically skinny guy with an 8.86 ERA from an obscure college in Braves country and made a useful big leaguer out of him. It's almost all bonus.
