Let's do this.

Or, at least, let's do this better than Jeremy Guthrie, who'll hit the DL instead of the mound today, thanks to a freak bicycle accident; the Rockies will throw Guillermo Moscoso up against the wall instead, to see if he sticks.

On the positive side, Guillermo Moscoso is a RHP & this team is decidedly stacked as a Lefty hitting lineup...on the negative side, he doesn't seem like he gives up a lot of walks or long balls...

Is there a tally of our won/loss record based on RHP vs LHP starters?

Won/Loss, Shmon/Toss. Here's how we hit agin' 'em.

In games with LHP starters: .266/.332/.402

In games with RHP starters: .252/.340/.372

vs. LHPs (general): .233/.309/.366

vs. RHPs (general): .280/.357/.409

I'm willing to write yesterday off to a confluence of ephemeral factors: long plane trip, Coors Field, unrested bullpen, rookie starter, contagious brain farting on defense.

I'm willing if they're willing.

This thread needs some baseball action.

Mets up 2-1 on a two-run homer by Lucas Duda. Who is awesome. Duda.

Two-out rally, and an RBI double by Wright in the third puts them up 3-1.

And like every time he drives a run home, David has set a new. Met. Record.

Lost my radio feed, so I'm really talking to myself here.

Jim Duquette has a lot to offer, but he sounds a little like a less animated version of Lewin. Plus, and it may be me, he sounds a little neutered. Like a guy who got demoted in public.

Try good old fashion AM radio.
Should be gettable at this time of night unless you're in a bad reception area.

These two-out rallies are nice and all, but it would be a whole lot easier if they weren't starting their innings w/2 out and no one on.

Must be in one of those.

Started an hour-plus late, and have been catching up via DVR.

Nobody took note of Josh's pasted ball during the Rockies rally? (Gary: "Kids... wear a cup." Keith: "If you're a catcher, and you don't? That's insane. [Audibly scoffs... multiple times]")

Was Thole the injury, and is he OK?

Yep-- just your standard "got the wind knocked out of him" game break.

Duda both hitting today and hitting into bad luck at the same time.
Robbed once and that last one was an at'em ball -- could have 3 more ribbies.

A strong sixth by Gee. He's at 104 pitches. He should come out for the seventh. I'm guessing he won't.

Au contraire!

(I'm guessing that this is an echo of last night's silly business.)

It often helps if you place the radio near a window, particularly if it's an east or north facing one in your case ... but urban areas are always tough to predict.

Hairston's Friday evening looks like a lightning strike in retrospect-- he's missed at least four pitches tonight that he should have tattooed.

Ike, conversely, has laid off/fouled off the outside crap and whacked the stuffing out of the ball every time up tonight (ESPECIALLY the outs). I expect he'll find an Interstate exit early next week.
