Molitor is indeed the missing HoFer
And I certainly wouldn't have guessed that Molitor stole twice as many bases as Larry Walker.

Ron Gant

Very Lofton-like, for a righthanded hitter.

The other guy is righty too, but could be conflated with Lofton in terms of career overlap, position, skillz and body type.

Marquis Grissom?

Think Abreu makes it?

Mets in the running:

Jose Reyes: 79/366
David Wright: 181/149
Carlos Beltran: 298/293
Mike Cameron: 278/298

None looking like great bets. Reyes has probably the best chance of the lot.

Beltran's (hopeful) addition to the 300/300 club is pretty exclusive anyway.

Abreu has 21 SBs this season against only 4 caught - so, yeah, he probably will, particularly if he keeps playing for Scoscia who lets his guys run wild (sometimes foolishly so IMO but that's a separate discussion).

Cameron definitely no.
I'd be shocked if Beltran has 100+ steals left in his game.
Can't see Wright getting the necessary 150 steals either as he's the slowest guy on this list so is least likely to keep stealing into his 30s.
Reyes needs to be in a different stadium to get another 121 HRs so let's not tell him about this list.

Yeah the trick to this list is piling up your steals in your twenties. If you're not 75% of the way home by 30-31, then good luck.
