Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I'm tired of digging for these things when I want them, but have no idea where or if they're recorded. So what databases do you guys use? I found one that looked slightly outdated, but ultimately I'd like to be able to download the data, and throw SQL statements at it. or at least some sort of query. Ultimately free would be nice, but I'd certainly be willing to pay a bit for that sort of data, particularly if i could get it mostly current. This kinda access has to be out there somewhere right? That's the whole point of the 'sabermetric rebellion?'

Guest Kong76 Guests Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 What's not on baseball-reference.com that you're looking for?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Or, say, Fangraphs? (Baseball Cube's good for minors/college/winter league all in one place.)

Guest Kong76 Guests Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Why is that better than the raw data supplied by retrosheet?(which is available now)
