Start the celebration with the inaugural Tournament of Jeters Parade. "
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 There's a reason most bowl games are played in warmer climates.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 Jeter will appear and his warmth will raise the temperature to a balmy 60 degrees.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Screw amateur sports (Oh, and call it the New Era Bowl please. :-D )This just paves the way for a possible Winter Classic at Citi.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 More likely the Tri-State Lincoln Mercury Amazin' Bowl.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Or the Iron Triangle Eminent Bowl-main?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Bullets of Cool flying all over the place here!Bowl games suck. Say you win. Unless it's the national championship game, you run off the field yelling "Yippie! We won the (fill in the blank) Bowl!!!" and that gets you....what, exactly? The ability to sell some (Fill in the blank) Bowl Champs t-shirts?This is like if the Marlins and the Mariners played a game a week before the World Series. A couple teams that went nowhere playing a meaningless game.Heck, with a football game in that band box at least you'd have the question of whether every punt or extra point would sail out of the stadium.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Also, this benefits absolutely NOBODY but the MFYs. Lord knows, the city isn't hurting for people to buy Broadway tickets and eat hotel rooms during the f*cking holiday season.
