Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Hi, I'm Reese Havens! And I'm Brad Holt! And we're co-starring in the upcoming Tri-Star motion picture... Conspicuously Absent!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Holt fell off the hot list pretty quickly. I read somewhere that he's in the org's doghouse for refusing an instructional league assignment.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 The other guy I thought we'd see was Roy Merritt, the lefty sidearmer. He was in camp last year, and he specialized in scaling fences in a single bound.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Merrit looks like he has nasty stuff in that vid..........I guess if you're going to be umping fences like that he better be good.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Being a "never-was" doesn't appear to be a negative this year for an invite. Feliciano is 30, hit .311 last year, and was the Buffalo Player of the Year (admittedly, there wasn't a lot of competition). At least give the guy a quick look to show the rest of the minor leaguers that the Mets will notice if you do well. What's the harm? It'll take an at bat in the Michigan game away from someone else?
