metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Someone should put out a low-light video of the Mets baserunning blunders of 2009 (8,7) and set to some funny com-mentary with some music.$19.95, I'd buy it.[/quote:1maxpptq]I'm picturing Benny Hill running the bases

Guest Kong76 Guests Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Total cherry picking here, but just flipped back to Jerry Q&Aand he's talking about a quest for a championship and buildingtowards a championship.

Reality means injuries = losses. But what's bothering me is that the last three months have suggested to me how much Jerry really doesn't have the goods. At all.I mean, talking about championships? A lot of us won't live to see that day. In the meantime, give us a game you're going to fight over.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 It's great to see the old man again. However, in the context of this series, I see him quite differently than I did in his appearances of the distant past. Now I picture him holding his broom out to the pitifully inept Mets as they pass by and telliing them, "Up yours."
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 KB: Who's that guy?KC: Bill Metsiac's son.KB: Who's Bill Metsiac?KC: Yeah, I uh ... never mind.
