I wonder why Jerry has 4 "name" pitchers going in the "B" game on Friday morning while using a cast of hopefuls in the regular exhibition game which is on SNY and MLB Network. Perhaps he wants to see the hopefuls in a game situation but it would be nice to see the names in February.

Jerry swapped Livan and Freddy for Niese and Parnell so the vets could avoid the bus trip on Saturday.

From Adam Rubin: "Being a veteran has its privileges. The Mets have flipflopped some starts. Originally scheduled to make the 130-mile bus trip to Lakeland on Saturday, Livan Hernandez and Freddy Garcia have been moved to Friday's home game instead. Rookies Jon Niese and Bobby Parnell get on the bus instead."
