Shaw perfect for Sharks

http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_543767.jpgNew York Mets prospect Scott Shaw and four relievers allowed only two hits as the Honolulu Sharks blanked the North Shore Honu 5-0 last night in Hawaii Winter Baseball at Les Murakami Stadium.

Shaw started for Honolulu and threw five perfect innings with seven strikeouts before being taken out. Junior Guerra gave up the first baserunner on a hit in the sixth but kept the Honu scoreless. Blake King, Roy Merritt and David Patton each threw a scoreless inning to complete the shutout for Honolulu.

� Todd Frazier, Yonder Alonso and Damon Sublett each hit home runs as the Waikiki BeachBoys beat the West Oahu CaneFires 13-3 last night at Hans L'Orange Park.
