Guest holychicken Guests Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 It seems to me that every game for the Mets pretty much follows a pattern. They either score early and then it is pray that they can hold onto the lead or they get behind early and the game is over.It seems that they never score late in the game. I mean, sure, it happens, but generally speaking, it is either they score or early or not at all. This just makes it very un-enjoyable for me to watch. I am either praying that the BP doesn't blow it, or I just turn off the game because I just "know" that they aren't coming back.Going to look it up (on espn), I found that mets are DEAD LAST in the entire league when it comes to scoring in innings 7+ and 8th in scoring for the first six.Does anyone know of a site that will give me more of a game break down?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Yeah it's brutal to watch , like if they are down after the sixth inning they are not coming back to win, some numbers from a Vic Ziegal column in the Snooze today.]Think about winning more one-run games. They're 6-8. Think about doing better when they're tied after six innings. They're 0-9 now. Think about how this team, which once made it a habit of coming from behind, could improve when they're trailing after six innings. They're 3-21. Think about innings six, seven and eight, when they've been outscored 132-89. Advil won't make those numbers go away.
